We need more safe havens where children and teens can escape the dreaded sentence of "No Medication - No Education, No recess, No privileges!" Parents are continually bombarded, threatened, and cajoled by teachers, administrators and physicians. "If you refuse to put your child on medication he/she will just fall farther and farther behind",they spew. Or, "I have no choice but to keep your child in detention so that the 'normal' kids won't be distracted." So out of desperation parents comply with the so-called expert's demands and begin pumping drugs into their own children as if this will make them 'fit in' and be deemed one of the 'good' kids!
How sick is this? How utterly outrageous to fall prey to predators that have absolutely no expertise, training, or authority to even advise parents in this area. Usually, the physician prescribing the psychotropic drugs are prescribing them on the say-so of the teachers or parents concerning the offensive behavior of the children. These are easily provable points which I will make clear shortly. But more important is the horror of the fact that millions of parents are drugging their own children like so many laboratory rats and monkies! They have absolutely no clue as to the long-term 'defects' caused by the various medications. Most Have never even read the insert that comes with each prescription. Sounds a lot like the disclaimers and warnings given on TV for all the heavily advertised medications. You know, the don't take IF this, this and this! Just reading one of these inserts would be enough to make most parents throw the drug in the trash or take it back to the pharmacy for a refund! Bottom line is, don't trust your doctor's assurance that these drugs are perfectly safe. HE DOESN'T KNOW THAT!
There are safer alternatives! They may cause you to have to stand in opposition to your child's teacher, principal, but really, who's health is on the line? Your child's or theirs? Who knows your child best? You or them? Do you even know your child's teacher or principal personally? Do they know you personally? Don't let complete strangers dictate to you and make life changing decisions for your family!
Now to the point of expertise. The main premise of the argument is training! In the first place, ADD, ADHD, Dyslexia, and most so-called learning disabilities are NOT diseases! Even the many forms of autism can be naturally reversed. These conditions are called disorders and that is open to dispute as there is much disagree-ment as to whether they even exist. Teachers and school personnel have not one whit of formal training in identifying any of these 'disorders'. But what about family physicians? NO! They have no formal training in behavioral disorders either, unless they have specialized. All they can do is read the PDR and listen to Big Pharma drug pushers, excuse me - salesmen and hawkers of the latest fad medicine. Chances are they haven't even read the insert that comes with the medication they are prescribing. They freely wield the pen in dispensing mind altering psychotropic drugs, much like the street drugs the drug lords push in our neighborhoods every day! Don't say the "C" word, but do you think this could be a way for "someone" to completely control our country? By simply and systematically zoning, stupefying, numbing and dumbing down our children - and using parents, teachers and doctors to do it?
So who is qualified to diagnose these invented disorders? Neurologists? Psychiatrists? You decide! Here is how it went down. A group of psychiatrists and psychologists met and decided that these behaviors needed a name. So by majority vote the APA named each of them and put the criteria behavior in a behavior book called the DSMR IV. So the vote was taken and the new psychobabble passed! All that was left was to match each condition with several experimental drugs. The pharmaceutical industry was ecstatic, parents were none the wiser, and a new day dawned. Education has been going down hill at break-neck speed ever since!
