We have been mislead and ill-informed. As parents we are truly and completely unaware, because of deceptive government practices, of what is truly happening to our children in public schools. Even the word,"public", is misleading. By definition, the word, public, invites everyone. It does not force anyone! Are you forced to go to the public library? Are you forced to go the the public park, the public baseball field, the public golf course. Have you ever stopped to count the things in this country that you are forced to do? Forced schooling, forced taxes, forced licensing, forced car insurance, to name a few. So, we are ill-informed as to the meaning of "public", in government-speak! What does it mean to be a public official? Serving the people or forcing the people? How about deceiving the people? Most of us have never studied the real history of American education - only the parts the government allowed in our history books. We have trusted them to lead us because we assumed that they had our best interests at heart. But we have been misinformed or not informed at all. Our American society is programming us much like a computer programmer programs your computer. Our minds are being programmed by forced schooling, radio, TV, movies, news media, etc. Do we like being programmed to think and act a certain way or do we really care? All of these public, "right-to-know" entities are in an hourly programming cycle to draw, taunt, dare, and tempt us into a life completely and totally controlled by conformity and consumption and submission to all the powers that be. We are constantly being seduced and manipulated by visions and sounds of lust and greed. But because we are unaware of this indoctrination we keep watching, listening and trying to keep up with the fads and fancies of the rich and famous. We have 24/7 sex, profanity, pornography, perversity, lewdness, jokes, silliness, fantasy, and twisted news spin at the flip of a switch or the push of a button. Rarely does anyone ever stop to analyze why the world is getting more risque and more uncaring by the minute. Rarely does the light dawn the we are being socially engineered by degrees to act and think a certain way, because we are so wrapped up in our own world and the cares of daily life. Instead of question or balk at this blatant invasion of our lives, we just float along with the crowd, trying our hardest to be accepted by them. We use whatever words are in vogue. We wear whatever clothes are in vogue. We listen to whatever music is in vogue. No need in being different. No need in being an independent individual. Being alone is no fun and fun is the key word in almost everyone's vocabulary. We have been so manipulatively programmed that we can even re-define what words really mean. We can dumb down our own English vocabulary so that words like morality and modesty are really irrelevant or mean something entirely different than they did just 30 years ago. Where did politeness, common courtesy, charity, honesty, and respect for our fellow man go? The reason for the decline is that most of us have been "dunce dating" in front of a TV/movie screen, or with earpods or headsets on for those 30 years. We sit for hours watching and listening to other peoples thoughts! Plus we have the added value of 12 years of forced public schooling under our belts. Many can even boast of an enforced high-school diploma, which guarantees you absolutely NOTHING! A better job? Says who? Do you ever ask yourself where those statistics come from? All a diploma is worth is to let us TRY (if we score high enough) to gain entry into more government programming in a government controlled college. You see, our good government has made sure that most decent paying jobs are tied to a college degree! But a college degree doesn't guarantee you anything either. Check the stats on how many college grads can't find a job. So how can we get our kids out of this rat-race cycle? The answer is, self-directed education, not forced government schooling! If government schooling were to be eliminated, the stock market would fall sharply and the whole economy of the country would suffer a severe setback. But we cannot sacrifice our young children for the sake of a country that is not being honest with its people. At least not my children! With freedom of choice, which is what this country was founded on, our country would go back to a civilized, safe, and nice place to live. But if your kids go to government schools, in the form they are right now, then they will think and act like the government wants them to - not like you want them to. So declare yourself a school of one, or two, or whatever, and begin a life journey that you will cherish forever.Other options are to enroll in a private school, if funds allow, enroll in an educational co-op, educate yourself, go to a private college, specialize, apprentice, invent, be free-thinking, refresh, take wings! Learning starts at birth and does not end with high school or college. It is a lifetime experience. The alternative is inhibiting, dull, and boring, schooling which breeds servility, conformity, submissiveness, and entrapment, for the enriching of politicians and big corporations, not the enriching of our children. Be careful in choosing the path that is right for you. You may even be wondering, why even in private(or parochial) schools, that morality is declining and liberalism is increasing. A simple explanation is, that those students and parents watch and listen to the same propaganda you do through the airwaves. Also, most of their teachers/professors were educated in public schools and or public colleges/teachers colleges. Another reason is that their curriculum comes from secularized sources. Therefore it is imperative that you check out the faculty and staff of the schools you are considering. Be aware! Get informed! I am truly convinced that children would be better off at Grammie's house, learning to help around the house and yard than they are in public jail, sorted by age, labeled, and force-fed a doctrine of relativism! You'd be surprised how much you can teach children in just one hour per night, three or four nights per week! They are well worth a try at least! It only takes about 100 hours to teach children how to read, write, and do basic math. If they can read they can self-educate!! No one can ever take that away from them.
