Experts say that home schoolers are proving to be better prepared for adulthood than their traditionally schooled peers.

There are currently over 2 million children in home study programs.

Just a few of the many famous people that were home schooled:Sandra Day O'Connor, C. S. Lewis, Whoopi Goldberg, Louis Armstrong, Agatha Christie, Albert Einstein, Walt Whitman, Lee Ann Rimes, Oliver and Wilbur Wright, Mozart, and Robert Frost.

Home study is growing at the rate of 7 to 15% per year.

Recent research shows home study students repeatedly score better than those in conventional schools in reading, language, and math, even if their parent-teacher is not certified.

One study found that of adults who were home schooled, none were unemployed, none were on welfare, and 94% said home school prepared them to be more independent persons.

Students scored at or above the 80th percentile on all areas on standardized tests. Note: the national average is the 50th percentile.
